Psalm 27:4
One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

Beloved, I have come with the word of God and with joy in my heart to declare to you that, that one thing that is lacking in your life, today God shall supernaturally fix it in Jesus name! I dedicate this message to those of you who are looking for one thing in their lives to end the year with satisfaction. Ladies and gentlemen you may have a lot of prayer points, but there is always "one thing".

· Those in school are not praying for any other thing, they are praying for successful completion of their academic pursuit! One Thing!

· A woman that has lived with her husband for years without a child is not asking for a car, you can drive your car; she is not asking for a house, you can build your house; she is not asking for certificate, you can go to school and have all the certificates; she is asking God for One thing. She wants a child.

· A young woman who is of age to marry, and the marriage has not come to pass; she is not looking for land, she is not looking for children, she is not looking for promotion; she is looking for one thing, a husband.

· Every man who fasts and prays, no matter how long his list of prayer points, is looking for one thing.

There is a heavy anointing upon my life today, to release that one thing to as many as believe today! Receive it in the name of Jesus!

In your marriage you need one thing!

In your job you need one thing!

In your career you need one thing!

Summarily, there is one thing that you need to end this year satisfactorily and God shall give it to you in Jesus' name! Can I hear you shout amen like a thunder!!!

A soccer team that is going for championship final, will have several practice sessions, recruit players, do rehearsals and rigorous training and exercises, but that is not what they are looking for. They will hop around the field several times; it's not what they are looking for. They are looking for one thing: the goals for the gold. Today I have not come to pray for everything, I have come to pray for one thing: one thing only.

The Living Bible says, "The one thing I want from God, the one I seek after the most..." The one thing I want from God the most, the one I seek after the most. This message is for those who are smiling, but in their hearts, there is a secret cry, and they are saying to God, Lord, if you can just do this one thing, if you can just do this for me..." I am here to pray for those who have shed tears of sorrow in the midnight. As you pray with me today through this message, the heavens shall open for you and your prayers shall be answered. I don't mean all, I mean the one thing you really desire, the one that disturbs your mind; the one that makes you feel inferior to other people. Lift up those hands and say 'Lord help me with this one thing today'!

According to our text, David says, for this one thing, he has done three things:

(1) He desires it, "This one thing I desire..." Remember God is the one that gives us desires. Psalm 37:4 says Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. You see even though God is the one that puts the desire in you, you still have to wait for it. Tell your neighbor - 'Wait for it'

Today, is there anything that you desire? Don't pretend about it; don't be shy about it; don't let anybody deceive you about it; is there anything that you desire? The bible says "Thou that answered prayers; unto thee shall all flesh come..."

(2) He seeks after it. (3) He beholds it.

Today, God is about to meet the desires of your heart. No witchcraft power and no principality can stop that desire from coming to pass as long as it is the will of God for you.

The Bible says in Proverbs 23:18, "For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off" I used to think it is 'expectations', until I went back to my Bible and noticed that it is expectation. "One Thing!" In Philippians 4:19, the Bible says: "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus" The Bible did not say 'my God shall supply all your needs...' Check your Bible again. Why does the Bible use the singular form in these scriptures? I will tell you. The reason is that, no matter what you do for some people, there is something that if God does not do for them, they are not happy. It is the center of your life, it is what makes them rejoice, that is why the bible says, "my God shall supply all your need..."

This talks about one solution for all your problems.

One need that stands for all.

One need that answers or represents all...

What is that area of your life in which you earnestly desire divine victory? What is the thing that makes you fast and pray? What is that thing that makes you lose your sleep? What is that thing that makes you lose your joy? Today, Jehovah the man of war is about to fix it for you. Rejoice and give God praise for that one thing is answered today. That one thing! Receive it now! That one thing, God has answered by fire. That One Thing! Shout alleluia!

A man with COVID 19 omicron variant is not praying for money, he is not praying for promotion. When he kneels down to pray, he prays for one thing; he prays for healing! You may provide him with all the beautiful things, yet he is not happy. He wants healing

In 1 Kings 3:5-12 Solomon asked God for one thing - wisdom (an understanding heart). The father, David, ruled for years, had wars and trouble from enemies. When Solomon sat on the throne, he remembered all the controversies surrounding his enthronement. How Adonijah tried but could not sit on that throne, how Absalom tried in vain to sit on the same throne. Solomon made a great sacrifice of 1000 sheep to God. He must have had a divine revelation that a sacrificial seed can open door for that actualization and divine fixation of ONE THING. In response, God came in a dream and said to him, 'I want you to ask me for one thing that I will do for you' If it were the believers of today, we will go to God with a trailer load of requests. You do not receive answers to your prayers because, according to the bible, '...you pray amiss...' (James 4:3). Solomon said to God, " I don't need any other thing, the one thing I need is wisdom." For Solomon to ask for wisdom, it means he was already wise. A foolish man would ask for money, houses, etc. Do you know why he asked for wisdom? With wisdom, he could make wealth; with wisdom, he would be able to manage the government (with all the elders) for peace to reign; with wisdom, he could handle the territorial problems and there shall be no war for 40 years; with wisdom, he could handle everything in the palace. Solomon asked for wisdom.

Beloved in the Lord, what do you need today? Cut out a sacrificial seed and ask God for ONE THING. I want you to think about it; have a burden in your heart as you pray today and ask God for that one thing that He needs to fix for you. Wherever you are, with a believing heart, ask God for that one thing in your life that needs to be fixed by Divinity. My God, who called me, shall answer you today. That God that answered Solomon will answer you.

In 1 Samuel 1:11, Hannah asked God for one thing! Looking at the life of Hannah, the wife of Elkannah, her husband had another woman in the house called Peninnah. Every day, Peninnah and her children will laugh and mock at this woman calling her names. There is something that should interest us in this story: the Bible says that when Elkannah sacrifices to God at Shiloh, he would give portions to Peninnah and her children, but unto Hannah, he would give a worthy portion. But, according to the Bible, she could not be appeased, she still was not happy. This means that when a man is looking for one thing, even if you give him every other thing without that one thing, he is not happy. What is it in your life? Is it healing to your body that is really what has brought you today to God's presence? The fire of God will take away that sickness. Some of you have everything; you have wisdom, you have intelligence, you have every other thing, but one thing is still lacking in your life. Ask God for that one thing today, and God, who does not give as man gives, will give it to you.

In Economics, there is what we call Scale of Preference. Scale of Preference is from the philosophy that man's needs are in hierarchy, and that man's resources are not always enough to meet his needs; and that for man to meet his needs with his limited resources, he has to arrange his needs in terms of preference, or order of importance. On the scale of preference therefore, the highest need is listed first, and the least need comes later. I want to ask you this question as you prepare to pray for that one thing in your life: If an angel was to appear before you right now and ask you to list your needs, which one will you list first? That is the one that shall be met today. The one that is uppermost in the list. The one that hurts your heart; the one that makes you cry. The one that makes you feel frustrated. Today, God is about to meet that need. He is about to take away that frustration.

David said, "One Thing I desire..." There is something about this one thing; it has three components: (1) You desire it
(2) You seek after
(3) You behold it.

One thing I desire. And because I desire it, that will I seek after. When I seek after it, because God is a faithful God, I will behold it. Beloved, the desire is a project; seeking after, is a process; and the beholding, is a product. What you desire is a project, when you seek after it, it becomes a process, but when you behold it, it is now a product.

Pray for that need in your life. David said, 'one thing I desire, and when I desire it, I seek after I, and I shall behold it' David's desire was to dwell in the Tabernacle of the Lord. What is the desire of your life? My God shall answer you today in Jesus name.
